December 10 & 11, 2005

Our first Festival of Trees was a huge success!  The festival was held Saturday, December 10^th and Sunday, December 11, 2005.  Eighteen trees were set up by local business, students and individuals.

Green Acres Greenhouse stole the show with “Victorian Rose”; a tree decorated with live baby’s breath and real red roses.  The winner of the individual group was Sue Sturdevant with her tree called “Dream…”.  She used her collection of Dreamsicle Angles on the tree and had a display of Dreamsicle crèche sets next to the tree.  Our student trees were all winners with those who attended.  The votes were all extremely close but the winner by one vote was the “School Days” by the Special Education Class.  Twenty-two Craft and Home Party Vendors where on site selling their goods.

Wolf’s Country View ran the kitchen both days selling their delicious Greek Dogs and home made pies.  The staff at Just For You joined in the fun by dressing as elves and selling popcorn and Maple flavored cotton candy.  Mr. & Mrs. Claus were able to take time out of their busy pre-holiday season to stop in both days for pictures with the kids.
