Union City Homecoming Weekend

The 46th Annual Union City Homecoming Weekend is scheduled for September 22 and 23, 2006.

Friday, September 22 the Union City Bears will meet the Maplewood Tigers.  Kickoff Time is 7 pm.  During halftime the Homecoming Queen and her court will be announced.

Saturday, September 23 at 11 am,  the 46th Annual Parade will step-off.  The parade will travel down West High Street to Main Street.  It will then turn right onto Main Street and continue to Concord Street.  Prizes will be awarded to floats in the following categories: Commercial, Business, Church, Out of School, In School, Neighborhood, Senior Organization, Junior Organization and Best Overall Float.

Also on Saturday the Union City Public Library will host a Janet (Comstock) Litherland book signing at 2 pm.  Janet is a 1956 graduate of the Union City Area School District.  She has written 10 non-fiction books and 2 novels.
