The Kelly Circus came to town on the morning of July 24, 2004.  The community was invited to come watch the raising of the Big Top.  Those in attendance were invited right into the tent as Viola the elephant went to work following every command given by her handler.  Over a period of about an hour and a half, the little league field went from empty to a full blown circus.  There was the Big Top Tent, food and souvenirs vendors, and an area set up were you could ride the camel or elephant.

Later that evening there were two shows for the residents to enjoy.  We were entertained by clowns, tight rope walkers, jugglers, lamas, camels, ponies, elephants, and much, much more.  Some adults voiced disappointment that the circus did not have lions, tigers, and bears, but if you looked around at the faces of the children in the audience, it was clear that they loved it.
